Agreement Overview

Welcome to HTCARZ. By accessing and using our car rental services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Eligibility Requirements

To rent a vehicle from HTCARZ, the following requirements must be met:

• Age: Minimum 21 years old (25 years for premium vehicles)
• Driving License: Valid original driving license (minimum 1 year old)
• Identification: Valid ID proof (Aadhar Card/Passport)
• Payment: Security deposit as per vehicle category

Booking Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed only after:

• Payment of booking amount (partial or full)
• Submission of required documents
• Verification of driving license

Rental Period & Return

Rental Duration

• Minimum rental period: 24 hours
• Extensions available upon request (subject to availability)
• Late return charges: ₹200 per hour (first 2 hours), full day charge thereafter

Return Location

Vehicles must be returned to the designated location unless otherwise agreed. Additional charges may apply for different return locations.

Vehicle Usage Guidelines

Permitted Use

The rented vehicle shall be used only for:

• Personal transportation
• Legal purposes
• Operation within valid license category

Prohibited Use

The following uses are strictly prohibited:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs
• Racing, speed testing, or reckless driving
• Transporting goods for commercial purposes
• Subleasing or lending the vehicle
• Off-road driving (unless specifically allowed)
• Use for illegal activities
• Driving without valid license
• Transportation of flammable/explosive materials
• Allowing unauthorized drivers

Fueling Policy

• Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel
• Return vehicle with the same fuel level
• Fuel difference will be charged at market rate + service fee
• Fuel payment can be made via UPI, Cash, or Card

Insurance & Liability

Coverage

All rentals include basic comprehensive insurance covering:

• Third-party liability
• Own damage (subject to deductible)
• Personal accident cover

Customer Liability

The customer will be liable for:

• Accidental Damage: Deductible amount as per policy (₹5,000 - ₹25,000 based on vehicle)
• Theft: Full vehicle value if due to negligence
• Traffic Violations: All fines and penalties
• Glass Damage: Front/rear windshields not covered
• Interior Damage: Cleaning/repair costs for stains, burns, or damage
• Tire Damage: Replacement cost for punctures/cuts

Roadside Assistance

24/7 roadside assistance is included in your rental, covering:

• Vehicle breakdown support
• Emergency fuel delivery
• Flat tire assistance
• Lockout assistance
• Towing (if required)

Note: Roadside assistance does not cover situations resulting from prohibited use or negligence.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• 48+ hours before pickup: Full refund (100%)
• 24-48 hours before pickup: 75% refund
• 12-24 hours before pickup: 50% refund
• Less than 12 hours: No refund
• No-show: No refund

Security Deposit

• Amount: Varies by vehicle type (₹5,000 - ₹25,000)
• Refund: Within 3-5 business days after vehicle return
• Deductions: Damage, fuel shortage, traffic fines
• Methods: Cash, UPI, Card (card refund takes 7-10 days)

Driver Requirements

Self-Drive

• Only the registered driver(s) may operate the vehicle
• Additional drivers can be added with valid documents
• All drivers must meet eligibility criteria

With Driver

• Professional driver provided by HTCARZ
• Driver accommodation costs to be borne by customer
• Working hours: 10 hours per day (additional charges for overtime)

Inter-State Travel

• Inter-state travel is permitted with prior intimation
• Additional interstate permit charges may apply

Termination of Agreement

HTCARZ reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement immediately if:

• Terms and conditions are violated
• Vehicle is used for illegal purposes
• Vehicle is damaged due to negligence
• Driving under influence of alcohol/drugs
• Vehicle is involved in accident
• Unauthorized person is driving

Dispute Resolution

• Any disputes will be governed by the laws of India
• Jurisdiction shall be limited to Guwahati, Assam
• Disputes should be first addressed through customer support

Modifications to Terms

HTCARZ reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
